Born and raised in Virginia, New York based fashion and portrait photographer Lisa Houlgrave has been involved in the glitz and glamour of the fashion world for over 25 years, yet she still insists she is a country girl at heart. She started her life in NYC as a fashion model learning her craft as a photographer from some of the world's fashion greats.

Her elegant and dynamic photographs have appeared in fashion magazines like Harper's Bazaar and have graced the walls of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and The Museum of Natural History in addition to various private and public galleries. She is know for her great rapport with her subjects and easily shoots many different types of projects including fashion,lifestyle,portraits,still life, interiors and events.

Lisa says that while she enjoys the thrill and fantasy of the fashion world she finds great joy and inspiration in the beauty of real life.
